Community Guidelines

Last updated: June 30, 2026

RideAlong is built on trust between riders. These guidelines keep the community safe and respectful. Breaking them can lead to removal from the platform.

1. Respect Every Rider

RideAlong connects real people for real rides. Treat everyone the way you would on a group ride:

  • No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or threats of any kind.
  • No discrimination based on gender, religion, caste, region, or any personal characteristic.
  • No unwanted contact after someone declines a request or leaves a ride.

2. Ride Safely & Legally

  • Hold a valid driving licence and ride a roadworthy, insured vehicle.
  • Always wear a BIS-certified helmet and appropriate safety gear.
  • Follow all traffic laws (Motor Vehicles Act, 1988). No racing, stunts, or riding under the influence.
  • Organisers must share honest ride details — route, difficulty, distance, and expectations.

RideAlong is a discovery and coordination platform — it does not organise rides and is not responsible for what happens on them. Ride at your own risk and use good judgement.

3. Be Authentic

  • Use your real name and an accurate profile. No impersonation or fake profiles.
  • Don't create fake, misleading, or duplicate rides.
  • One account per person.

4. Keep Content Clean

In ride descriptions, chats, reviews, and photos, do not post:

  • Sexual, obscene, violent, or illegal content.
  • Spam, scams, or promotions unrelated to a ride.
  • Other people's private information (phone numbers, addresses) without consent.
  • Anything that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.

5. Meeting Strangers — Use Caution

  • Meet in public places; tell a friend or family member your plans.
  • Verify ride details before committing. Trust your instincts — leave if something feels wrong.
  • Approved riders coordinate over WhatsApp; share only what you're comfortable sharing.

6. Reporting & Enforcement

If you see behaviour that breaks these guidelines, report it to ridealongcareservice@gmail.com. We review reports and may warn, suspend, or permanently remove accounts that violate these rules or our Terms of Service.

You can also block or leave any ride at any time.
